The Black California Exodus Initiative is a research and cultural project powered by HBCU WEST. We explore why Black families are leaving California, where they are going, and how these migration patterns impact culture, community, and opportunity. Through data-driven research, community storytelling, and cultural insight, we aim to design solutions that address housing, education, and wealth pathways—building a blueprint for a future where Black Californians can thrive.
