Tiffany Carter is a visionary entrepreneur, strategist, and advocate for innovation, equity, and economic empowerment. As the founder of HBCU West - we are leading a transformative effort to bridge the gap between Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the West Coast’s top industries—tech, urban planning, medicine, and finance.

With over a decade of experience as an entrepreneur and business leader, Tiffany has built a legacy of creating opportunities at the intersection of business, education, and economic innovation. Working alongside policymakers to develop sustainable pathways. Her work has included:

• Boug Cali- Palmvy Bodegas,  A La cocina grad-apart of the La cocina Marketplace-which made Times magazine world’s greatest places 2022 - the first women led food hall in the county, in the heart of Downtown San Francisco -Tenderloin. A foodie destination. 

• Championing urban planning and economic revitalization, Apart of the San Francisco Planning Department Equity Advisory Committee -innovating community wealth-building strategies and equitable development. HBCU student pipeline.

• Bringing HBCU representation to the West Coast,-Advancing education as a form of reparations, Tiffany was part of a team that brought some of the nation’s top HBCUs to San Francisco in Summer 2024 to innovate a satellite HBCU campus. Our Think Tank pipeline connects HBCU institutions with top-tier universities, tech firms, and investment partners, creating career pipelines that drive innovation and economic mobility on the West Coast.

Mother to a cum Laude scholar and city Urban Planner, Tiffany has seen firsthand how education transforms lives and shapes cities. Her journey—from a teen mom, to classically trained Chef- to a nationally recognized entrepreneur and community leader—Named a Bay Area women in Power-
